Hope Through Education, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization on a mission to create educational opportunities for under-resourced students with a focus in science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics.

We are committed to developing, mentoring, and supporting under-resourced students to plant seeds for the future. We do this through advancing innovative educational opportunities for students, parents, teachers, and corporate partners.

Amy Akins, Ed.S. - Executive Director

Ms. Akins began her career in education in 1986, serving as a math teacher in public, private, and Department of Defense schools for over 20 years. She holds a Master’s degree in Education and a Specialist’s degree in Educational Leadership, and spent ten years as a school administrator.

Driven by a passion for expanding STEM curriculum opportunities, Ms. Akins is committed to ensuring all children have access to the community resources they need to climb the ladder of opportunity. She is excited to partner with Hope Through Education to help advance its mission of making a lasting impact in the lives of children.
